Another aspect of direct democracy that people are unhappy with is the fact that there are low numbers, nowadays, that attend these meetings. In the United States, these are typically the town hall meetings. In this town hall meetings, many people feel that the people’s voices are not sincerely being heard because so many of them are missing at these meetings.

The Republicans fall to the right of the political realm. The Republican Party is also commonly called the Grand Old Party. Many attribute their name to their traditional political values. There are 55 million voters currently registered as Republicans. Although they do not come in first place for the number of registered voters, the political party has not been unsuccessful in all their political pursuits.
