Democracy is a region that is governed by the people. In a democracy, the majority opinion is the determining factor in deciding the rules and regulations of the political body. Democracy is about making sure that all voices are heard. Once all opinions have been input, the democracy finalizes the decision by tallying the votes to see what side of the coin the majority vote falls upon. There are representatives in place that regulate this practice. The representation in a democracy is selected through an election. Instead of taking the majority vote in regards to policy, the majority vote is calculated in terms of the candidate that receives the most votes in any given election. They are elected to speak out on behalf of the people. In addition, they are elected to listen to the people many times before they decide to speak out. In a democracy, the elected officials are in situations where they have to use their better judgment on behalf of the people, but they should never neglect to hear what the people have to say. The United States is a democracy.

1. In the United States in the year 1828, the Democratic party was formed. A democrat is the official name for a member of the Democratic Party in the United States. As a democrat, you look to ensure that equality is obtained in all facets of governance. A democrat wants to ensure that the people have the freedoms that they deserve. If they feel as though the equalities and freedoms that they share with other are not being met, they work to evoke change. A democrat will use the very principles that make the United States a democracy to fight for the change that they feel is deserved.

2. As a democrat, they feel that all people as well as groups should have equal access to political power, within reason. Each person should have the same rights as the other. In a democracy, everyone should have the same liberties as the other. Those rights and liberties are presented in the United States Constitution and are actively protected.

3. Voting is one of the most important aspects of the democracy of the United States of America. A democrat is one of the two largest political party representatives that usually wins an election. A democrat has viewpoints that are center left. The other party representative is quite different from the democrat. As opposed to the democrat, the republican is center right. Both groups have a large influence. Nevertheless, the democrat has been around longer. In fact, the democratic party is one of the oldest political parties ever known to the world. To this very day, its practices and core values live on.

Democracy is a politic in which the governing practices are decided upon by the people. The people will make sure that those practices are executed collaboratively by themselves, or they will elect officials to carry out that cause for them. There are two different types of democracy in today’s society. In a democracy the belief is carried out that there should be equality amongst all people. Everyone should have equal opportunity at their pursuit of happiness. in a democracy, there is equal rights to every individual to assume political power in order to execute their political aspirations. A democracy is governed by the people, for the people. There is a direct democracy and a representative democracy.

1. A direct democracy is a government that is run in which everyone is open to participate. In a direct democracy, the citizens are responsible for making new policies. A direct democracy is one in which representatives and legislature are not included in the law making process. In direct democracy, meetings are held so that the people may reach a decision as to which new policies should be enforced. A direct democracy is not always the optimal choice for some people. Many feel that direct democracy is becoming rigged more and more in today’s society. Many feel that the ruling of a decision by a direct democracy has become an unfair numbers game. There are cases in which people will have large crowds draw out just so that a vote may go in their favor. Another aspect of direct democracy that people are unhappy with is the fact that there are low numbers, nowadays, that attend these meetings. In the United States, these are typically the town hall meetings. In this town hall meetings, many people feel that the people’s voices are not sincerely being heard because so many of them are missing at these meetings.

2. The second type of democracy is a representative democracy. In a representative democracy, there are representatives that are there to present the opinions of the people. A representative democracy is a government in which the people elect political leaders to relay their points. In a representative democracy, these political leaders are to speak on behalf of the people about the issues that are most near and dear to them. In a representative democracy, these elected officials must not act only out of their private agendas. A representative democracy has to ensure that the people’s interest are at the forefront of each act. In a representative democracy, this does not guarantee that people will always get what they want. Even if the elected official is from the same political party, that does not mean that just because you are in a representative democracy that your viewpoints will always be shared, then carried out by that political leader. Nevertheless, they are always going to do what is in the best interest of the people, as a whole.
