Democracy

Democracy is a region that is governed by the people. In a democracy, the majority opinion is the determining factor in deciding the rules and regulations of the political body. Democracy is about making sure that all voices are heard. Once all opinions have been input, the democracy finalizes the decision by tallying the votes to see what side of the coin the majority vote falls upon. There are representatives in place that regulate this practice. The representation in a democracy is selected through an election. Instead of taking the majority vote in regards to policy, the majority vote is calculated in terms of the candidate that receives the most votes in any given election. They are elected to speak out on behalf of the people. In addition, they are elected to listen to the people many times before they decide to speak out. In a democracy, the elected officials are in situations where they have to use their better judgment on behalf of the people, but they should never neglect to hear what the people have to say.
